Description

Is this woodchuck (Marmota monax) eager to answer a question? Or directing traffic? Or waving to a friend? Whatever he's up to, he certainly seems intent about it. Woodchucks, also called groundhogs, are large, mostly herbivorous rodents inhabiting the eastern half of the United States and much of Canada. Great diggers, they live in large underground burrows, where they hibernate through the coldest months of winter. Despite the popular tongue-twister, woodchucks don't get their name from chucking wood; one popular theory has the name coming from wuchak, the animal's Native American moniker as interpreted by English colonists. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this product supports the Sierra Club's efforts to preserve and protect the planet. - INDIVIDUAL ITEM RRP £2.28
